I’ve decided I don’t like Desitin. I turned my toy box upside down and moved it so I could get things off of the bar. I decided the Desitin looked good enough to spread all over my face and eat. I was not happy after I got some in my mouth! Ethan and I have switched roles the past few days, he has been a good boy and I have been the trouble maker. I’m getting cabin fever, its been really cold and icy outside and I’ve been stuck in the house for too long.

Here I am with Desitin all over my face, it was worse than this but Daddy cleaned some off before Mommy could take a picture.

Last night Ethan and I played with a diaper box. I pulled Ethan around the house and he loved it. Ethan kept putting the box over his head and playing “Where’s Ethan”. We were having a great time. Who needs toys when you have a box!

Happy Australia day to all our friends and family back in Australia. In honor of Australia Day Mommy gave me another lesson on Australia and we made some Australian crafts to surprise Daddy with when he got home from work. I coloured a boomerang, a koala and a kangaroo. Mommy printed the colouring pages out from Activity Village. Last week we started making an Australian flag, it was a big project and took us a few days to finish it but it was a lot of fun and worth it. Mommy glued the tissue paper to the Union flag in the upper right hand corner but I did the rest. Mommy put the glue on the paper and I stuck the tissue paper on.

Today’s project was making a butterfly from a toilet paper roll. Mommy cut a butterfly out of construction paper and gave it to me to color. While I colored my butterfly mommy wrapped a toilet paper roll in black felt, glued a popsicle stick on the bottom and glued the antennas and head on. Once I finished coloring my butterfly mommy glued it on to the back of the toilet paper roll. After it dried I ran around the house and made it fly! Craft time is my favorite part of the day. Mommy says its not about doing things perfect, its about spending time together and having fun.

Daddy’s been sick so he couldn’t make the trip to Harrison and Branson with us today. Since he was feeling better Ethan stayed home with him and we had a Mommy Daughter day. We had a lot of work done on the outside of the cabin and we made the two hour trip to Harrison to have a look at it. The cabin looks great and the crazy snakes are really noticeable now (plastic snakes along the roof line to keep woodpeckers away)! After we walked around the house we went to the next door neighbors and Mommy visited with them while I chased their dog Missy around, she is a Maltese and has more energy than me!

After we left Harrison we went to Branson and went shopping at the outlets! I got to pick out a couple of shirts for the summer all on my own and Mommy did some bargain shopping getting clothes for me and Boo for next fall/winter. I picked out a t-shirt with a glittery butterfly on it since I love butterflies. I’m getting so big, pretty soon I’m going to be telling Mommy what I want to wear. Today was the first time I picked out clothes that I wanted. The sales ladies in the store were really nice but they all looked at Mommy funny when they asked how old I was and she told them that I’m two. I’m a big girl, I wear a size 5 now! Ethan is little, he wears the same size I did when I was 6 months old.

When we finished in Branson we had to make the two hour trip all the way back home. We went down little country roads that had lots of horses and cows. I made sure Mommy knew every time I saw one. It was a really pretty trip, there were lots of hills, trees, lakes and rivers. I was a really good girl in the car, there was so much to look at the trip went very fast.

Mommy and Daddy have tried everything else, all the “guaranteed to work” methods of potty training and I have resisted them all. So they have done something they said they would never do again; they are bribing me. Mommy and I sat down and looked over the Nick Jr site since I LOVE Dora and I found a Dora mini tote and Dora Color forms that I like. Daddy said if I can go in the potty for a week then I get my Dora tote! Mommy said it’ll be here in less than a week so I better get started so I can have it soon after it gets here. Little do they know that I’ve been waiting for them to bribe me, I got a jumping castle for giving up my binky!

I broke my magic wand last night and I’ve been missing it this morning because I liked carrying it around. Mommy made me a flower to carry around with me. It’s so pretty and I love flowers. I didn’t get to help much, I picked out the color tissue paper I wanted and commentated while Mommy made it.

My friend Beth’s (miss you Beth) Mommy made her a paper flower as well. Her mommy used lots of different colors and made it much bigger than mine.

We love photo’s! If you do any of our projects please send us a photo so we can post it on my blog.

I got to color in my favorite activity book today, its I Can Color! It has a lot of fun activities that are made for my age and help me get ready for preschool. I like it because I get to color and it has lots of bright pictures. I always want to do lots of activities in it. Mommy likes it because each page comes with instructions on how to help me with the activities and it builds motor skills. Today I drew blueberries and raisins on some oatmeal, I got a little excited at the end and made big raisins. I also got to help the frog splash in the water.

Today we looked out the window and talked about all the things that were in the sky during the day. Then we sat down with our craft box and made some of the things we talked about. Mommy cut the sun out of a paper plate and gave me some yellow paint and a paintbrush to paint it. This is the first time Mommy has let me loose with a paint brush and I did a really good job with it. While I was painting Mommy cut out a butterfly and kite from construction paper and a cloud from a paper plate. When I finished painting the sun we let that dry and I painted the kite and butterfly. I got to do one of my favorite things next, glue on cotton balls to the cloud. Mommy made a bird out of feathers and then we tied it all together with yarn. We made an airplane but Ethan tried to eat it before we had a chance to finish it.
