Yesterday we planted a little herb that we can watch grow. We are living in a townhouse this spring and don’t have a place to plant a garden so we planted an indoor one. Ethan and I were a big help!
Ethan inspected everything as it came out of the box

I inspected the stickers to make sure Mommy put them on all correctly then Ethan did a durability test.

I planted the seeds and Ethan planted some ketchup from our kitchen

We both put the rocks in and we were done!

Mommy highly recommends not turning your head for two seconds when doing this with a one year old. We put it in the window upstairs that gets the most sun and we’ll check on them every day to watch them grow. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks we’ll have Parsley, Sage, Cilantro, Dill and Basil.

I’m very proud of myself; I’ve added another thing to the long list of things that Mommy can’t do while I’m awake. Today’s addition to the list is vacuuming. I started trying to catch the vacuum when I was crawling; after I started walking I tried to pounce on it and go for a ride. Mommy found that funny so today I tried a new tactic, unplugging it. When Mommy turns the vacuum cleaner on I pull the plug out of the wall. Mommy called me a little stinker the first time; she finally gave up the ninth time. I thought it was really funny and didn’t understand why she didn’t want to play that game anymore. So far mommy can’t load the dishwasher, clean the floor, pick up toys, clean the bathroom or the tables when I’m awake. Hmmm I wonder what I can add to that list next.
I have a picture book that Mommy and I look through everyday. Mommy tells me what the object is in the picture and works with me to repeat the word. We work on object recognition as well. Today we sat down with some of my toys so Mommy could see how good my object recognition was getting. We had a car, a bear, a ball, a baby a rattle and a blanket. I did really good until Mommy told me to get the bear. I love my bear and went running off into the other room to cuddle with it.That was the end of the game. Bear and I went to the backroom and climbed up on the slide. I was being really silly and Mommy took a short video of me.
Mommy has been having trouble with her computer so we haven’t been able to post for a few days. Yesterday was warm and the wind was blowing so we went to the park, spread out our picnic blanket, laid underneath a tree and watched the branches and leaves move with the wind. Mommy pointed out the clouds that were moving across the sky and we also got to see squirrels and birds. It was nice to just lay around and watch everything move around us. I like going outside and now that the weather is starting to get nice we go outside a lot.
Mommy let me play on her computer today for the first time and I had a blast. We went to Kneebouncers and I hit the keys on the keyboard to make things move and make noise. My favorite was the musical keyboard and the one with the car. I learned how to say car today and Mommy was really impressed. She made me say it so many times that I didn’t want to say it anymore when Daddy got home from work.
Watch me play!
We had summer weather today and Mommy decided that she wasn’t going to do any work and we were going to go out and enjoy it. We had the best time! Mommy dropped the top on the Jeep and we started the day by running some errands, then we went to the mall so I could play at the outdoor playground. We grabbed some lunch and headed off to the park for a picnic and free time just to run around and have fun. I was so tired I fell asleep in my stroller; something I never do. We got home late and I went down for a long nap. Mommy said that she is going to get a lot of work done tonight so we can go out again tomorrow!
I was ready to roll and ready to play at the playground

See you later mom

So tired

I think I want to paint murals when I grow up, it sure is fun! While Mommy was cleaning the kitchen I used Daddy’s guitar case to reach a permanent black marker that was up on the bar. I had so much fun with the marker. I colored all over three walls, on the carpet, on Ethan’s Jump and Spin Zebra and the jumping castle. I also colored all over myself and Boo. I was having so much fun until Mommy caught me. When I saw her I dropped the marker and took off running! I’m at Oma and Opa’s now, Mommy and Daddy brought me here to spend the week. Mommy has to repaint the walls and she doesn’t trust me to be there while she has to paint.

Mommy will eventually learn not to turn her head. When Mommy was getting Boo ready for bed I took her highlighter she had been using to work and went and hid in my jumping castle. I colored all over my hands, my pajamas and some on my face. When Mommy called me I came running out and said “look I pretty”. On Sunday I managed to get my hands on a bottle of nail polish and painted my face pretty. I like dressing up pretty and always want to wear a princess dress. Mommy was very happy that the highlighter came off me and my clothes with a baby wipe.
I pretty

Today Mommy and I glued colored squares to paper bags and took a lot of different colored things out of our craft kit. We picked out colored letters, tissue paper, pipe cleaners and pom poms in lots of different colors. Mommy mixed them all up on the floor and I had to put the item in the bag with the right colored square. I was having a great time until Ethan decided he wanted to join in the fun.
