We are starting our trip around the world again. Today I got to learn about the Great Barrier Reef. We watched videos on YouTube of coral, fish, sharks and turtles. I like to watch the fish swim around. The reef has about 1,500 types of fish; that’s a lot higher than I can count! There are also lots of snails, clams, starfish, shrimp, sponges and sharks. I’ve been to the Great Barrier Reef but it was when I was still in Mommy’s tummy. I put fish foamies on the picture of the reef while Mommy told me about it.

Here’s on of the video’s we watched that I really liked.

Pebbly Beach is one of the best places in Australia to get up close to friendly kangaroo’s in the wild. It’s four hours South of Sydney and a really pretty drive. There are lots of kangaroos that live on Pebbly Beach and they will come right up to you and let you pet them. There are also lots of pretty birds called Rosella’s that will steal your food if you’re having a picnic and will fly up and sit right on your head!

I love the beach! I got really excited today when Mommy pulled out the dolphin foamies and started telling me all about Monkey Mia. There are lots of bottle nose dolphins that come up close to shore and they really like people. If you are lucky one of the Rangers will even let you feed them!

Today we made a quick stop at the Pinnacles in Western Australia. The Pinnacles are limestone formations that are in Nambung National Park. They are really pretty to look at. They would have been prettier if our printer hadn’t started running out of ink when we were printing it.

A trip in the Northern Territory would not be complete without making some Aboriginal Dot Art. Mommy bought a foamie art kit that had turtles, geckos and fish in it. We stuck the foamie dots on to make dot art. We looked at some aboriginal dot art online and talked about how all the paintings have special meanings. We have some pretty Aboriginal paintings in our home that Mommy and Daddy brought over with them from Australia.

Our second stop on my world tour is Yellow Waters which is in Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory of Australia. Today we went on a boat trip so we could go out and spot crocodiles. Yellow Waters Billabong is full of water lilies and lots of pretty birds.

Mommy and I started a new project this week, it’s called around the World with Georgie. We’re printing out pretty pictures from all over the world and sticking some of my foamies on them. We have a book to put them all in so we can go back and talk about them again when I’m a bit older.

We started our trip around the world at Uluru, also known as Ayers Rock, in the red center of Australia. Uluru is the biggest free standing rock in the world and is very important to the Aboriginal people. Mommy has been there and its one of her favorite places; she said we’ll go see it in person when Boo and I are older.
