I’ve watched Mommy trace plates and other things for projects we do and I’ve started tracing them as well. I got a plate, cup, fork and some play food and were tracing them on my paper. When I got bored of tracing I started coloring my plate when Mommy was trying to teach Ethan new words. He doesn’t talk much but that’s probably because I talk enough for both of us. Tracing was simple and fun; I’m learning how to control my hands more and its really helping with my writing.

Mommy says we have too much craft stuff and we have to start using some of it up. I got to do two crafts from my Giant Busy Box. I made a lamb while singing Mary Had a Little Lamb and I made a pizza with stickers and gave it to Daddy as a present when he got home from work. Mommy loves the busy box because it has all the crafts put together and its great for days when we don’t have a lot of time to do crafts.

Since its the first day of May we did a flowers craft; using foamies of course! Mommy is trying really hard to get me to do something without foamies but she’s not having a lot of luck; everything we do needs to have foamies or stickers to keep me happy. Mommy has been giving me a piece of paper and a lot of foamies and just letting me stick them on until I get bored with the paper and stick them on the walls. You don’t think she is trying to get rid of them do you?

My flower craft turned out really pretty and I almost did it all by myself! I painted green grass on the page with a paint brush and my Crayola paints. Mommy had to peel the back off of the flower stems because they were too hard for me. She would hand them to me so I could stick them on the page. I stuck the flowers and the sun on and I was done. When we were doing this project Mommy taught me a new song.

Sing a Song of Flowers
(to the tune of Sing a sing of Sixpence)
Sing a song of flowers, flowers all around.
Flowers that are growing, growing in the ground
Flowers of each color make a pretty view.
Red and orange and yellow.
And blue and purple, too.

We made these really fun little bags this morning and I’ve been singing Jungle Bells all day. I crumpled up tissue paper and put it in a ziploc bag, when I was done Mommy threw some bells in, zipped it up and taped it close with packing tape. We made Boo one too. After we finished the bags Ethan and I ran around the house shaking them, singing and throwing them. It was quick and easy to do and Mommy loved it because it kept us out of trouble while she cleaned.

Since the days started getting longer I have been upset that I never get to see the moon. I look for it every time I go outside but its not coming up until after I go to bed. We made my very own moon for me to hang in my room so I can see it everyday. Mommy traced a plate on wax paper and cut it out. I crumbled it up into a little ball and then straightened it back out. Mommy and I glued it on a piece of black construction and then I stuck some of my star stickers in the sky. Now I have my very own moon I can look at every night.

Since I tried feeding Missy play food and gave her toys to play with mommy and I made a fish that I can take care of. I crumpled up some scrap paper and put it in a paper bag. Mommy wrapped a fuzzy stix around the bag to close it and make the tail. I used a sponge and painted the fish. When the fish dried Mommy helped me glue on a googly eye.

Mommy tried to get me to paint today but I told her “no Mommy no paint want my foamies please”. I got my way and we played with foamies but she tricked me and made me learn. We used a sheet of foam paper and stuck some fish on then put on some air bubbles coming from each fish. I like counting the air bubbles; I’m good at counting.

We’re printing out pretty pictures from all over the world and sticking some of my foamies on them. We have a book to put them all in so we can go back and talk about them again when I’m a bit older.

We started our trip around the world at Uluru, also known as Ayers Rock, in the red center of Australia. Uluru is the biggest free standing rock in the world and is very important to the Aboriginal people. Mommy has been there and its one of her favorite places; she said we’ll go see it in person when Boo and I are older.

We travel a lot so Mommy got a big bag to put our craft stuff in so we can take it with us when we go away. We got a scrapbook bag and it works great, it has lots of pockets and lots of room for everything we use. I like it because I have pockets for all my foam stickers, I love my foamies! All the pockets velcro on so it makes it easy for us to take out all the supplies we need. Mommy said that when we start traveling in the RV we’ll get to take it with us!
