I’m over butterflies now; I decided they are boring. Yesterday I was watching Elmo’s World with Ethan and I got all excited over his fish Dorthy and that’s why we went looking for fish yesterday. I asked Mommy over and over today to watch more fish swimming on her computer. Of course she let me!
Today we made a fishbowl like Dorthy lives in. Mommy put some toothpaste in a Ziploc bag and I squished it all up. While I did that Mommy cut a fishbowl shape out of construction paper. We glued the Ziploc bag to a piece of construction paper then we glued the fish bowl on top of it. I stuck some of my foam fish on it and we were finished.

We were looking for video’s of the fish in the ocean on YouTube and found a Jellyfish video. I like the Jellyfish, they are pretty and move slow. Mommy decided that since I liked the Jellyfish so much we could make our own. Mommy cut a paper plate in half and I glued some googly eyes on it and then drew a smile. Mommy cut some strips of white tissue paper for the tentacles and we glued them on the back. Mommy let me stick some of my foam fish on the tentacles. When we finished Mommy downloaded a song from Amazon called Jellyfish Jump and I jumped and danced with the Jellyfish we made!

Do the jellyfish jump and have yourselves a ball”
We read Sheep in a Jeep a few times today because its my favorite book and I always want to read it one more time. I like it because it has silly sheep riding in a Jeep. The Jeep is red just like Mommy’s. Its a funny book and I like telling Mommy everything that is happening in the pictures. Mommy uses it to teach me words that rhyme. We read it almost everyday and today we made our own Sheep in a Jeep on a hill that’s steep.
Mommy did all the cutting and I got to do my favorite part, the gluing! We cut green paper to make a hill and glued it on to the blue sky. We cut a jeep out of red paper and the wheels out of black paper. We added a tree and I stuck on some of my foam leaves and even managed to sneak in a butterfly and a few flowers. We added cotton balls for sheep but they don’t look much like sheep. It’s OK though, they are fluffy like sheep and it doesn’t bother me.

I got to learn about horses today. I kept confusing them with cows so Mommy decided to set me straight. We watched some horse video’s on You Tube, one horse named Patches was riding in a car! We had horse food, carrots and apples, for a snack. I colored a horse with my crayons and then I made a horse with clay from my Busy Box.
Here’s my horse!

Today Mommy opened up the craft box and let me do what I want. I always want to do crafts on paper plates so I choose one on those. Then I used my Do-A-Dot’s and made lots of polka dots all over the plate. I glued on ribbon, cotton balls and crepe paper then to finish it up I stuck on some of my favorite foam butterflies and dragonflies. I love butterflies almost as much as I love Dora.

Mommy taught me the Humpty Dumpty nursery rhyme while we did a craft for it.
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall
Mommy cut out squares and rectangles in lots of different colors and helped me learn the difference between the shapes. We glued them on to a piece of construction paper to make a wall. Then we put humpty dumpy on the wall and gave him some googly eyes and painted on a smile.
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall
Mommy let me use scissors today! I held them and mommy taught me how to cut paper to make grass. We glued our grass to the bottom of a sheet of construction paper and then glued Humpty Dumpty to the page on the grass. He fell down! We glued torn up tissue paper on him to make it look like he was broken from the fall. I thought he was sad because he fell so we painted a frown on him.

Today we had a big day, I had to go to the Dr this morning and Mommy said that I have to go in for allergy testing next Tuesday. Mommy bought me a surprise today to take when we go for the testing, I don’t know what it is but I did see Dora on the box!
Today we made a page for my book of favorites. Today we made ice cream! I rarely get to eat it but I get so excited when we pass by the ice cream store down the road and see their sign with the big ice cream cone.
Mommy and I glued some popsicle sticks to some construction paper and I painted the cone while Mommy tore up the tissue paper to make the strawberry ice cream. Mommy put some glue on the paper and I stuck the tissue paper on to make ice cream. Then we sorted through our foam letters and I helped her find the right ones to spell ice cream across the top of the page.

Mommy and I have started making a book that is all about me and my favorite things. We made a page about me and my best friend Beth. I love playing with Beth but she lives far away so I don’t get to see her often enough. Mommy is really good friends with her Mommy and they wish we lived closer together so we could spend more time together. Mommy and I went to visit in December and Beth and I had so much fun. We jumped on the bed, played with toys, giggled, squealed and chased each other. We were a couple of little monkeys and made our mommies laugh a lot.
Mommy and I made this page together. I got to make dots, then we stuck on foam letters and butterflies, Mommy helped me glue the pictures on and we made frames around the pictures with glitter glue.

I made pictures with dots today. Mommy bought me some Do-A-Dot markers, they are bottles with a sponge on the end. I like them because they make noise when I hit them on the paper. Mommy likes them because they are washable and I can’t spill them. I made lots of pictures today and played with them for over an hour. I made lots of dots and had to make sure I told Mommy every time I changed colors. Do-A-Dot Rainbow Art Set

Happy Australia day to all our friends and family back in Australia. In honor of Australia Day Mommy gave me another lesson on Australia and we made some Australian crafts to surprise Daddy with when he got home from work. I coloured a boomerang, a koala and a kangaroo. Mommy printed the colouring pages out from Activity Village. Last week we started making an Australian flag, it was a big project and took us a few days to finish it but it was a lot of fun and worth it. Mommy glued the tissue paper to the Union flag in the upper right hand corner but I did the rest. Mommy put the glue on the paper and I stuck the tissue paper on.
