I have a new job as Mommy’s gardening helper. I water the flowers while Mommy does the weeding. She has to be careful, occasionally I like to be silly and splash mommy with the water hose. I am so proud of myself when I am done with the watering. I normally wouldn’t help mommy but when it comes to being outside and playing with a water hose how could I say no?

The weather has been really nice this week and we’ve been spending a lot of time out in the Jeep. We love the Jeep and complain every time Mommy and Daddy try to make us go somewhere in the Yukon, its just not as fun! Today we were sitting at a traffic light and for some reason I decided it would be fun to throw my sunglasses out the window. I yelled “Uh oh, get glasses”! The light turned green and since we only had Mommy out with us she couldn’t get out of the car to get my glasses. I love my sunglasses and started screaming when we started to drive away. Thankfully Mommy turned the corner and went into the parking lot of the gas station, hopped out and went to see if she could get them. I had thrown them far enough out that a car didn’t run over them so Mommy scooped them up and brought them back to the car. She was mean though and wouldn’t give them to me. All that screaming tired me out and I decided that I needed a nap. I’m sure Mommy was not happy about that so it made me happy.

Every once in awhile Mommy has to prove that I really can be sweet and take a picture of me sleeping. Does she not know how annoying that is? If she had been too noisy and woke me up I would have made her pay! I’ve been napping on the couch while Mr JD painted the new stairs and it gave Mommy a great opportunity to get a picture of me sleeping. At least she got my good side.

This morning Mommy pulled out some of her photography equipment to take photo’s of some of our outgrown clothes she’s about to list for sale on Ebay. I thought it was all really cool so I decided to help and quality test the equipment. Mommy is so lucky to have a helper like me.

The weather here has been really nice and warm. The sun has been out and Mommy has been taking us outside to dig in the gardens for a few hours every day. We have lots of worms! I hold them, pet them and play with them. Mommy was laughing at me because I put some in my Jeep and took them for a ride. I’m not very good at finding them but Georgie is and she gave me lots of them. We enjoyed it so much that we now have our own garden that we can dig in all we want.

Mommy and Daddy took us out yesterday for some “fun”
I guess it was ok. We went to the store with all the flowers and picked up some flowers for the new garden.
Georgie seemed very excited and was running circles around Daddy’s legs and being her usual funny self.
I got to ride in the cart with Mommy, it wasn’t the racing car one, but I guess it was ok.
After that we went to a new place that was very busy, I tried to get a nap on the way there but Daddy wouldn’t let me.
When will they learn that a little cat nap does wonders for a guy.
Mommy called it the “Habachee Grill” and it was full of people.
I got to sit at the end of the table in my own throne, and Mommy brought me some yummy food.
There was some fish that was just OK, it didn’t really taste like cat, but it was fried and I like fried.
About half way through dinner, this lady came up and took Mommy’s glass away.
No one at the table seemed to notice so I took the initiative and yelled out. “Hey! That’s Mommy’s Cup!”
Mommy and Daddy told me it was ok and that the lady would bring it back.
I guess they were right as a few minutes later the cup came back full of sweet tea. Just like magic.
We finished our lunch and made a stop to get some rice milk on the way home.
I was very tired and enjoyed a good nap after some fresh milk.
Was a good trip.
Ethan. (You can call me Boo)
I’m very proud of myself; I’ve added another thing to the long list of things that Mommy can’t do while I’m awake. Today’s addition to the list is vacuuming. I started trying to catch the vacuum when I was crawling; after I started walking I tried to pounce on it and go for a ride. Mommy found that funny so today I tried a new tactic, unplugging it. When Mommy turns the vacuum cleaner on I pull the plug out of the wall. Mommy called me a little stinker the first time; she finally gave up the ninth time. I thought it was really funny and didn’t understand why she didn’t want to play that game anymore. So far mommy can’t load the dishwasher, clean the floor, pick up toys, clean the bathroom or the tables when I’m awake. Hmmm I wonder what I can add to that list next.
I have a picture book that Mommy and I look through everyday. Mommy tells me what the object is in the picture and works with me to repeat the word. We work on object recognition as well. Today we sat down with some of my toys so Mommy could see how good my object recognition was getting. We had a car, a bear, a ball, a baby a rattle and a blanket. I did really good until Mommy told me to get the bear. I love my bear and went running off into the other room to cuddle with it.That was the end of the game. Bear and I went to the backroom and climbed up on the slide. I was being really silly and Mommy took a short video of me.
Mommy let me play on her computer today for the first time and I had a blast. We went to Kneebouncers and I hit the keys on the keyboard to make things move and make noise. My favorite was the musical keyboard and the one with the car. I learned how to say car today and Mommy was really impressed. She made me say it so many times that I didn’t want to say it anymore when Daddy got home from work.
Watch me play!
Ethan be nimble, Ethan be quick, Ethan tear up the candlestick!
It’s all Mommy’s fault, she left them in my reach!
