I’m very proud of myself; I’ve added another thing to the long list of things that Mommy can’t do while I’m awake. Today’s addition to the list is vacuuming. I started trying to catch the vacuum when I was crawling; after I started walking I tried to pounce on it and go for a ride. Mommy found that funny so today I tried a new tactic, unplugging it. When Mommy turns the vacuum cleaner on I pull the plug out of the wall. Mommy called me a little stinker the first time; she finally gave up the ninth time. I thought it was really funny and didn’t understand why she didn’t want to play that game anymore. So far mommy can’t load the dishwasher, clean the floor, pick up toys, clean the bathroom or the tables when I’m awake. Hmmm I wonder what I can add to that list next.
I have a picture book that Mommy and I look through everyday. Mommy tells me what the object is in the picture and works with me to repeat the word. We work on object recognition as well. Today we sat down with some of my toys so Mommy could see how good my object recognition was getting. We had a car, a bear, a ball, a baby a rattle and a blanket. I did really good until Mommy told me to get the bear. I love my bear and went running off into the other room to cuddle with it.That was the end of the game. Bear and I went to the backroom and climbed up on the slide. I was being really silly and Mommy took a short video of me.
Mommy let me play on her computer today for the first time and I had a blast. We went to Kneebouncers and I hit the keys on the keyboard to make things move and make noise. My favorite was the musical keyboard and the one with the car. I learned how to say car today and Mommy was really impressed. She made me say it so many times that I didn’t want to say it anymore when Daddy got home from work.
Watch me play!
Ethan be nimble, Ethan be quick, Ethan tear up the candlestick!
It’s all Mommy’s fault, she left them in my reach!

I’m silly and I do very strange things that make Mommy and Daddy look at me and wonder what I’m thinking. I have to test things with my head. I bang my head on doors, toys, stuffed animals and furniture just because I think its funny. Here’s a little video Mommy took of me banging my head on the couch.
Today Mommy made me something I could shake. We wrapped a paper towel roll in construction paper, tore up some crepe paper and stuck it in one side of the roll. It took less than five minutes to make and I ran around the house shaking it and playing with it. Mommy tried to teach me to say shake shake shake and I tried really hard and started saying sh sh sh. The count down has begun, I only have two days left as an only child and I plan on enjoying every minute of having Mommy and Daddy to myself. Oma and Opa are bringing Georgie home on Friday. I did talk to her on the phone today and I think she misses me.
Me and my shaker

Today when Mommy was vacuuming I took advantage of the opportunity with her head being turned and sneaked into the bathroom. I sat down on Georgie’s potty seat and started pulling all the toilet paper off the roll. I’m getting tall enough now that I can open the doors, Mommy is not impressed. I love the bathroom and try and get in there every chance I get. I like to flush the potty and pull the toilet paper off the roll.
Busted!!

Mommy made this cute little frog for me today; it was one of the projects in the My Giant Busy Box. I loved the frog when he was talking to me. I loved it even more after we were finished with it and Mommy gave it to me. I ripped his eyes, arms and legs off! Mommy glued them back on and put him up for Georgie when she comes home.

Don’t forget to enter the draw to win your own Giant Busy Box.
Mommy glued crepe paper to popsicle sticks today and I ran around the house shaking them. They made noise and I could feel the air from them swirling all around me. I played with them for about 15 minutes before I decided they would be more fun to tear apart. Mommy said we’ll make more in the spring on a windy day and take them outside to watch them move with the wind.
Who knew a popsicle stick and crepe paper would be so much fun

I have been a very good boy this week and today I was punished for it! I went along with the flow and didn’t complain but I was getting tired of my head being messed with. This morning Mommy took me to the mall and made me wear the hood on my jacket. I couldn’t get it off and struggled and fought with it until I fell asleep in the car. I managed to get about ten minutes sleep and mean Mommy woke me up. We walked around the mall and then she took me to get my hair cut. The lady that cut my hair was really nice but I wanted to see what she was doing when she was using the clippers so I kept turning my head to look. When we finished getting my hair cut I got to play on the playground at the mall! I was flirting with a really cute girl, she was a bit older then me but I didn’t care.
After we got home Mommy pulled out the summer clothes to make sure the ones she bought last year were going to fit. She put a hat on me and I struggled with it until I finally managed to get it off my head. I do not like things on my head, I do not want to wear hats! I was told that I have to start wearing hats before summer starts or I won’t be allowed to ride in the Jeep. There is still a few months until top down weather starts so I have some time to think about it.
Me looking sweet

Does the hat come off this way?

Maybe if I pull this way it’ll come off
