I draw a lot and since Mommy doesn’t like clutter we can’t keep everything that I draw. We get to keep a lot of the special crafts that we make and the stuff mommy refers to as milestones. I’ve started writing letters a lot and I’ve started drawing animals. Mommy and Daddy must be getting smarter because I no longer have to tell them what my drawings are. I never understood how they could be so wrong! Here are two of my most recent drawings, a bird and a monster.

I got this really great art storage case that has a picture of me on it! When we do special crafts or a really impressive drawing mommy writes a date on it and files it away in my case. When we have rainy days I can take my case out and look at all the pretty pictures I’ve done. Its sturdy enough to take a beating from me and it has lots of room for my artwork.

Climb and Slide Castle
Little Tikes has a special on the Climb and Slide Castle until 05/13/09; they have it on sale $15 off.

Boo and I have one that we play on every day. It’s sturdy enough to hold both of us and its lots of fun! Boo likes to crawl into the middle of it with his apple slices to hide from me so I don’t take them from him. We chase each other around the it and practice taking turns on the slide. We played with it indoors during the winter but now that the weather is getting nice we’ll be able to play with it outside. It was really easy to assemble, just make sure you read the instructions before you put the slide on.

I give this slide five stars. We’ve had ours for almost two months and it still gets hours of play time every day.

Mommy bought me these really great mess free books that I use a paint brush and water to paint on. The pages have different color stripes and dots on them and when I paint them with water they blend together to make lots of colors. Mommy loves them because she can trust me and not have to stand over me making sure I don’t paint the walls. I can’t get in trouble with these books; the worst I can do is spill my water and Mommy doesn’t mind if that happens since its easy to clean up. I spent over an hour painting yesterday and have been asking all morning to paint again.

getting ready for prekI’m still 7 months from starting Preschool but mommy wanted to get an early start. She bought me a book called Getting Ready for Pre K by Jane Carole. I’m not old enough to do most of the activities in the book but I am able to recognize numbers, shapes, letter and objects. Tonight I sat on the couch with mommy and we counted objects, i told her what the colors were and we recited the alphabet. Mommy says in a few months time when I understand it a bit better we’ll start doing some of the activities in the book. The book has lots of pictures, bright colors and fun activities. It kept my attention for over half an hour so it must be good!
